
Dr. Stephen Gay is an Anaesthesiologist at Doctors Hospital, specialising in pain management. After graduating from the University of the West Indies, he started his anaesthetics career in Barbados where he received an advanced diploma in anaesthetics before moving to the United Kingdom. During his time in the UK, Dr. Gay gained considerable expertise in specialist anaesthetics and pain management while working in intensive care, chronic pain and palliative care, obstetric anaesthesia and analgaesia, adult and paediatric cardiac intensive care, and cardiac anaesthesia centres
Dr. Gay completed his fellowship in anaesthetics at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Upon his return to Barbados, Dr. Gay was instrumental in developing acute and chronic pain management services. Dr. Gay has been sharing his expertise at Doctors Hospital since 2002.
